Welcome to a New Era

Speedway Racing News has entered a new and exciting era that will present the news like never before!
In keeping with its long established dominance as market leader and speedway publishing industry pacesetter, SRN moves into the electronic era with the establishment of SRN On-line.

This means hard core news like no other speedway website can present with daily updates and breaking news. When it happens in speedway, SRN will have the story FIRST, On-line.
SRN has assembled a highly skilled team of reporters working the field, chasing news and breaking the big stories that matter in an unmatched level of immediacy.

It’s the era of internet news focus and SRN is at the forefront of this latest, sophisticated technology and is setting the benchmark as its trademark quality in the same professional manner SRN has done since its inception in 1972.
There are plenty of benefits to be enjoyed by subscribing to SRN On-line.

In essence, Speedway Racing News On-line will feature plenty of free content but its premium member’s section will be unmatched in the sport. To access the premium member’s content fans will be required to pay a minimal subscription fee via the site’s revamped Pay Pal system.

You have the option of subscribing for either six  months or 12 months and the cost works out at around $2.88 per week (including GST) – a tiny price to pay to have unlimited access to the sport’s best news website.

The premium content section of the new website, accessible to members only, features unmatched news coverage and totally exclusive content. There will be no major news content appear that is accessible anywhere else.

Equally as important, if you subscribe you will quickly see that SRN, in its traditional fashion, will break the real news – the news behind the news, FIRST!

In addition to the online news content, that will comprise dedicated sections for Breaking News, Sprintcar News, Feature Stories, Speedcar News, Bike News, Sedan News and pages for all major sections; there will be an exclusive section called Speedway TV, where subscribers will have access to archive TV shows and weekly “flashback programs” that will feature major national and international race meetings staged across Australia over the past 20 years.

There will be numerous other exclusive entitlements for members.

SRN’S PROUD HISTORY

David Tapp

Speedway Racing News is Australia’s longest running race publication with origins tracing way back to August, 1971.
SRN has been published fortnightly by present owner David Tapp since he acquired the publication in 1998.
In earlier years it was released monthly, tracing way back to volume one, issue one in February, 1972.
In recent years, the overall standard and profile of the publication has been raised significantly with initiative changes and refinements.

With this policy, SRN took another upward turn in early 2007, when the long used A3 format was abandoned for a more recognisable, traditional magazine style. Accompanying this change was a switch to full-colour gloss print.

Published by Power Productions Pty Limited, the publication is the flagship of Australia’s most comprehensive speedway media organisation. Publisher David Tapp brings to the table a wealth of experience in the sporting community. A former Head of Sport for John Singleton’s Macquarie Radio Network, a multiple CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) Media Member of the Year winner and a former CEO of the South Sydney Rabbitohs National Rugby League franchise, Tapp has built a thriving publishing and television business around speedway that remains unparalleled.

At SRN we pride ourselves on being the undisputed news leader, supported with a strong editorial viewpoint on poignant matters within the speedway industry.

Aside from SRN, Power Productions is responsible for Australia’s longest running purely speedway television program “Chequered Flag” which enters its 16th season in 2010/2011, as well as numerous other TV projects including Rugby League, Oz Tag, Lawn Bowls, Karting, Ice Hockey, Water Polo, Basketball, In Line Hockey, Boat Racing, Rodeo; airing on Fox Sports, Network Ten, ONE HD, SPEED and Bigpond Sport. See www.powerproductions.net.au for further information on the TV production business.

Speedway Racing News, in conjunction with its parent company, David Tapp Power Productions, also offers speedway fans the most comprehensive range of speedway DVDs available in Australia.
