Chequered Flag - Australian Speedway's Only Weekly TV Program

Inaugurated almost eleven years ago, Chequered Flag has served up a feast of the leading Speedway events from around Australia and the world and is widely regarded as the leading Speedway specific program in Australia . In fact Chequered Flag is an icon in Australian speedway. Beginning originally on the now defunct Optus Vision and C7 Sport Pay Television Networks, Chequered Flag moved to Fox Sports in November of 2002 and has only gone from strength to strength.

The 2004 season heralded a new era in Speedway television broadcasting, when the show's producers, Sydney-based Power Productions Pty Limited, embarked on a significant overhaul of the production values of the show, incorporating many more elements to the one hour Tuesday night program, including exclusive interviews and many more magazine-style pieces. The result was a slick production which saw a sharp increase in viewer numbers that has seen Chequered Flag emerge as one of Fox Sports' most watched weekly niche programs during the spring, summer and autumn months.

Chequered Flag is supported by a loyal band of sponsors - many of whom have been with the program since its inception and without them the program would not be able to function. The 2006/2007 Speedway season continues the evolution of Chequered Flag into becoming one of Australia's pre-eminent weekly motorsports programs entrenched in the psyche of race fans nation-wide.

Chequered Flag's producers, Power Productions would like to acknowledge the contribution of its valued sponsors including Titan Garages & Carports, Bevelite Glass, Torco Oil, Pick N Payless and Wanless Wastecorp.

The all new series of Chequered Flag will commence on Tuesday night, October 3, 2006 and will run for thirty five consecutive weeks.

Be sure to check this website regularly as the programs to be featured on the 2006/2007 Chequered Flag series will be updated regularly.
