About SRN
SPEEDWAY RACING NEWS - OFTEN COPIED, NEVER BETTERED!

Speedway Racing News is Australia's speedway publishing market leader. With a heavy focus on being First with the News Fortnightly, SRN's fortnightly publishing frequency really cuts through and is the voice of the Australian speedway industry.

Published fortnightly and hitting the stands every second Wednesday, SRN was first published in February 1972. The publication has stood the test of time and has continually evolved to remain at the pinnacle of Australian speedway, providing the best news from domestic and international oval track racing.

In recent years, the overall standard and profile of the publication has been raised significantly. This took another upward turn in early 2007, when the long used A3 format was abandoned for a more recognisable, traditional magazine style. Accompanying this change was a switch to a full-colour gloss print.

Since switching to the quarto format, advertising revenue and sales have increased markedly. Speedway Racing News is distributed throughout newsagents nationally and has a solid following in the USA, UK, Europe and New Zealand.

Published by David Tapp Power Productions Pty Ltd, the publication is the flagship of Australia's most comprehensive speedway media organisation.

Publisher, David Tapp brings to the table a wealth of experience in the sporting community. A former head of sport for John Singleton's Macquarie Radio Network, a multiple CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) Media Member of the Year winner and a former CEO of the South Sydney Rabbitohs National Rugby League franchise, Tapp has built a thriving publishing and television business around speedway that remains unparalleled.

Editor, Matt Payne, has a broad range of experience in local and international Motorsport Event Management and PR, in addition to his time contributing to Speedway Racing News, which is now into its fifth year. In that time, Payne has built respect among the industry for his insightful features, cutting edge news stories and thought provoking opinion pieces.

Aside from SRN, Power Productions is responsible for Australia's longest running purely speedway television program "Chequered Flag" which enters its 13th season in 2007/2008, as well as numerous bespoke projects and a number of Rugby League products, airing on Fox Sports. The company is at the forefront of promotion in speedway, too, co-ordinating and promoting the Australian Motorcycle Speedway Championship Series for Motorcycling Australia, which airs on both Network Ten and Fox Sports.
